Modern Roman Empress

This costume was part of a project at the Capitoline museums in Rome. Taking inspiration from the museum itself, we were asked to recreate a Roman empress in today's colors and textiles. This costume is a result of dyeing different silks, pleating, layering. The different fabric peices are not sown together but simply placed on the shoulder of the model then linked together by the elastic with clips around the bodice
